Ray Dennis Steckler fans, take note. Media Blasters-Guilty Pleasures seem to be taking a liking to Steckler's films. And now after their release of RAT PHINK A BOO BOO (1965), another Steckler film THE LEMON GROVE KIDS MEET THE MONSTERS is said to be released on August 26th! Truth be told, I knew ahead of time that this other Steckler film was coming out on DVD due to asking Media Blasters-Guilty Pleasures head man John Sierabella. But now, I'm also excited about this upcoming release.

As for extra features and such, I'm not too sure. But here is what I know so far: I've seen the DVD cover case and it says "THE LEMON GROVE KIDS MEET THE MONSTERS Trilogy". From what I hear, the DVD is presenting the original three short Steckler films, which he would later combine together as one film when released back in 1964. They are also being presented in their Original Aspect Ratio, which could be either 1.66:1 or 1.85:1. Now don't quote me on this, I only heard about this from the usual grapevine so we'll just have to wait and see. If so, I do hope that Media Blasters-Guilty Pleasures will add THE LEMON GROVE KIDS MEET THE MONSTERS theatrical version. As for extra features, it's unclear at this time. I do hope Media Blasters-Guilty Pleasures will add the Steckler 16mm short "Goofs on the Loose" (1960) and the said 'lost' short "The Lemon Grove Kids in Hollywood".

And hold on tight, RAT PHINK A BOO BOO will be in my DVD player tomorrow and review will be up soon.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Vermin Boy

Excellent! Now all they need is Thrill Killers (which I've been dying to see) and, of course, TISCWSLABMUZ!

The trailer for this is on the RAT PHINK AND BOO BOO dvd.

It looks hilarious.
