Aw geez! I wasn't expecting this Saturday to be so good! Let's start off with:I was playing this game called "Postal 2" and while I was playing my mom joined this DVD Club thing and she asked me to order one of the DVD's that was on the screen. I looked around and found "Commando" ,a movie that I seem to have trouble finding, so she ordered it and it should be here within a week, this put me in a good mood. Now it's Fall right now in Oregon so that usually means it's gonna be nine months of rain, well actually it's a BEAUTFUL SUNNY DAY! Then me and my brother asked our mom if she wanted to see "Kill Bill" with us (this would be the 2nd for us and the 1st time for our mom. With a littie coaxing she agreed and we went over to the theater and watched it. She actually likes it but said she was ashamed of liking it. Anyway after the movie my brother went to the mall and bought the CD to "Kill Bill" and also a "Fist of the North Star" DVD not to metion "A Fish Called Wanda". When we got home we watched this movie called "Mall Rats" and it was really funny, I have to catch up with my mom and brother I haven't watched "Clerks" yet. And I had a delious dinner of Salmon, rice, and peas (hey it tastes good when it's all mixed together.) So for the nights I plan on watching one of Steven Spielbergs earlist movies "Dual" which I've heard people say it's good and before I go to bed I'll proably draw a few pages to a comic book I've been working on. HA! I bet none of you are having this good of a Saturday!

Sounds, like a hell of a wicked good day to me. I spent much of my Saturday wrestling with my little dish-tv hooyah, I finally won the battle! All in all, not a bad day, Dave. My parents and grand-parents as well as an aunt and uncle came over to "The House Of Deej(and Stephanie)". We (my dad and I) made fools of ourselves with the aforementioned satellite dish, then enjoyed much lively conversation, after which I forced everyone to enjoy(or at least sit through) a Michael Caine double  feature of  Alfie and The Italian Job.

We then ate at the best German restaurant in the south-west(minus the grand parents who had to split). We enjoyed much heart attack inducing fried food and wheat beer, followed by hazelnut cake with little bits of apricot in!! Very good! We're an Irish-American family, so anything not boiled is a treat for us!

Finally back to the house, where we finally bested the evil satellite dish, and enjoyed our first glimpse of Turner Classic Movies(local cable doesn't provide it).

So yeah, Dave, a pretty good day, if not as good then pretty close!! Glad you had a good one man, hope you enjoy A Fish Called Wanda, one of my favorites!

great days are...well great. Duel is a good flick, especially for a made for tv movie, hope you enjoyed it. clerks rocks too. your mom sounds pretty cool to actually like kill bill. mine wouldn't last 10 minutes at that flick.

i had a good laid back saturday. i'm working for the year in a very small town so I don't have much of a gang to hang with, but i'll be going to grad school next fall so i've got that to look forward to.

anyway, i did some grad school preparation, then went to TCM (not that it deserves to even be called that...only because i've seen KB twice). then I went to a great burger stand and had some grub. then i went to a great coffee shop and had a great vanilla latte. then i went and saw kill bill for the third time and it still holds up. i came home and worked on a review of GHOULIES for my website. watched some RENO 911 and then read a kurt vonegut novel i've been reading.

pretty good day for me too (didn't have to use my AK).

Maybe Saturday was just a good day all around.

My wife & I went out furniture shopping Saturday (we're moving next month -- HOORAY!), ended up seeing no furniture, instead came home with $85 worth of dvds:

MST 3K Box Set Vol. 1 (Skydivers, Catalina Caper, Bloodlust, and Creeping Terror - even though we have them all on VHS, we bought it because they have the unMST'd movies)

Mighty Wind (great great movie)

Coffy (Pam Grier, naked & kicking butt -- what else do you need?)

High Fidelity (my wife really loves this movie, especially since i have, shall we say, a few records, tapes & cd's floating around the house....)

We REALLY have to get on the furniture shopping, though....
