I just got through reading Andrew's Random Thoughts and thought most of them were hilarious.  But there hasn't been a new one in 16 months?  What gives?  So I figured I'd start a Random thoughts thread.  Here goes:

It seems strange to me that more people don't go into the hot cakes business.

Don't know if this qualifies as a 'random' thought, but it IS sorta funny.  I heard this on the radio the other day:

Some people were talking about donating Christmas trees to a local church, who would then distribute them to families that cannot afford their own tree.  The guy said it is better to donate an artificial tree so the family can continue to enjoy them year after year (without being in the same situation next year).

The lady then responded that she also prefered artifical trees because they are more realistic.

They should get nice big shiny aluminium trees, maybe painted pink.

Why is it that Steven Segal can make the crossover to rap stars in his movies, Jet Li can do the same, and Jean Claude Van Damme can't?

Also, how many of you have endured the ultimate horror - accidentally walking in on your parents doing the nasty?

Thankfully I have never walked in on my parents.  
But I can offer a word of comfort.  According to statistics I can be farily certain in saying, don't worry, it's not all bad, at least your father was never in Night Ranger.

Can you imagine the marketing guy who won the 7-11 pitch for "Slurpee"?  I always wonder what the other names that were bandied about were...

No, Velvet, my dad wasn't in Night Ranger.  My point was for all but probably 4 or 5 people in the world, we can all be comforted by the thought that our fathers were not in Night Ranger.  Although all the high-school age pictures of my dad look suspiciously like the drummer from Judas Priest in the early 80's.

Saw a billboard for  a steak place. Over a pic. of a ribeye, it says : WHY ALIENS COME for our cows.
