In a recent post I was mentioning that there was the possibility of Ridley Scott shooting some parts of his upcoming movie "Kingdom of heaven" in the Loarre fortress, which I once visited and it's about 100 miles from where I live. Now it turns out that they have already started the shooting and that Orlando Bloom is also there. From what I can recall of my visit to Loarre, it is a fantastic setting, on the top of a hill and it has aged very well. A few years ago Arnold visited it when he and Paul Verhoeven still though their joint film "The Crusades" was possible.

You can see some pictures of the castle at www.castillodeloarre.com .

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Sounds like a good things. More historical drama/action is always welcome. You live in Spain right Neville?

Neville

Yes, I live in Lleida, a 150,000 inhabitants city about 100 miles from that castle.

Neville, I just checked out the Castle Webpage. Awesome ! Love movies with great locations.

Wow.
Sounds cool, Nev.
First i've heard of the flick, though. Whats the plot?

"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Neville

Not much is known about the plot. From what I've heard in the news the Loarre fortress will "play" some part od Palestine, and they've build another setting around the place to mimic a small village where Orlando Bloom's character lives.
