Looks like HOTC sequel is a go!  Here is the article from creature corner:

However divided genre fans may be over Rob Zombie's debut House of 1000 Corpses, there is a fanbase out there and they're drooling and clamoring for the latest news on Corpses 2.

Originally, Lions Gate got a tad ambitious by stating in the trades that the film would be ready in time for this spring. Hell, Zombie hasn't even started shooting yet. A script is done, however, and courtesy of Rob's lovely assistant, we've got the official title for the follow up: The Devil's Rejects. It's a moniker that'll draw in the church groups, won't it? According to Rob's assistant, the name is stemmed from "the nickname the media has bestowed upon our favorite band of murderers." Furthermore, we've learned that the plot also surrounds a band of bounty hunters led by Sheriff Wydell's brother who is fueled by revenge when he finds out that his kin was slain by the Firefly family.

Zombie has said in interviews that the sequel will pick up shortly after the first with the Firefly clan going on the road after their house is burned down and a few family members have been gunned down during a police raid.

Moseley, Haig, and the rest of the cast are all on board. Apparently some big news concerning new cast members will be arriving soon. Check back with the Corner for the latest...

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

And here I was, hoping for something like "House of 1001 Corpses"...

I'm sure as hell lookin forward to  it. Really enjoyed the first and this one sounds like it'll rock.

Haven't seen the original yet, but it got surprisingly good reviews in my country. I might watch number two, but first I'm waiting for the original to get released on DVD.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Where are you from, Neville?  House is out on DVD in most places, I think.  The UK is getting some much cooler cover art that us yanks, though.
The second one will rock more than the first, I think.  Darker and more violent, from what Rob says.  Looking forward to the new Zombie record, too, about which he said "I don't care about making videos or having radio songs this time, I just want to make a really dark, scary record."  Count me in.

Spain. I think we were one of the few countries to release theatrically the more explicit cut of the film. I wanted to see it, but I was very busy at the time. The DVD has to appear yet, but I think it will be available in a month or two.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I always wondered what they'd call a sequel to "Seven"...

Everything's funnier with monkeys.

Seven up? BTW, looks like I was wrong about the "House of ..." director's cut being theatrically released in Spain. IMDB says the 105' cut has still to be released, and that Rob Zombie says the extra footage is unavailable.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
