THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS (1954) - This one is produced by Roger Corman. The story is about a independent truck driver who accidently kills another trucker by forcing him off a cliff. The driver who gets killed belongs to a trucking company who were trying to run him out of business. An international road race is taking place nearby and the fugitive truck driver steals a female racers jaguar and also takes her hostage at gun point. He enters the race because the police are everywhere looking for him and the race will take him to Mexico because the race  is from California to Mexico. Overall a neat story and fancy car make this film enjoyable.



This film reminds we of other 50's films with people driving and picking up or running into trouble on the road THE HITCH-HIKER, THE SADIST, and PANIC IN THE YEAR ZERO. All good ones with different storys.
