Death Machine

Just wondering if anyone might be able to recognize the film I'm going to be talking about. I only glimpsed a few minutes worth of it a long way back (probably around six years ago) on some cable channel late at night, but those few minutes have stuck in my head ever since. I've tried the IMDB and checked my video store up and down for any video covers that might look familiar or stick out, but haven't had any luck yet. Anyways the only moments that I remember are really bizarre ones. The first scene I remember is a few guys sitting in a cabin during a heavy blizzard talking and eating out of a pot of baked beans. Anyway, after talking a while a strange looking reptile monster jumps out of the pot, bites one of the guys hand off, and jumps out the window!!! As if it couldn't get any weirder the other scene involves a woman riding in a small private jet. While she's talking to the pilot, the view changes to outside the plane, when suddenly a big skeletal dragon creature appears from out of the thick snow, rips a hole in the side of the plane, and bites the pilot's head off, causing the plane to crash! That's all I can remember and it still bugs the hell out of me to this day. Granted, those clues don't really help a whole lot and my memory is a little fuzzy, but if anyone can remember any strange film with scenes even remotely resembling the ones I mentioned, the help would be greatly appreciated. It could at least point me in the right direction.

Darkautumn

It sounds sort of like "Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo" which I also saw on cable some years back. There was definitely a scene in a winterbound cabin where a bunch of grizzled hunters or whatever cook up a pot of chili, which suddenly becomes "possessed" (?) and a thing resembling the embryonic alien chest-burster jumps out and attacks one of the men. Beans go flying everywhere and I remember some goofy song playing on the soundtrack during the mayhem in the cabin. I'm not sure about a girl on a plane, but I do remember on e of the monsters as being some huge skeletal thing, with, I think, a deer's skull head. That may be it, check it out, but it was a pretty awful movie.

Phantom 187

I saw it on Cinemax and this does dsound like it.

Death Machine

Sounds like a good lead. Thanks for the help, I'll keep a lookout for that film now, although I probably regret it from the sound of it...

Flangepart

Sounds like something Terry Pratchett might write.....kinda....

"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"
