the WOMBLES?

anyone ever see this? i just bought a used video at a small grocery store. it says copyright 1987. they are puppets that have pointy noses. it is an hour long. i plan to watch it tommorrow and add a report.

They were an absolute sensation in Britain in the 70s. There even was a live band with 'musicians' dressed up in furry suits with snouts, who performed during the Eurovision Song contest in 73 or 74 (when Abba won with 'Waterloo'). If you truy out Google you're bound to come up with lots of websites

yes i  have,  my parents bought me  the video tape when i was a  child  and i think i watched it about a million times,u know,  when u are a kid u are able to do things like that and dont get bored, im sure that if i watch nowadays still i can remeber some part of the dialogues.

I had a stuffed Womble as a kid.  I also remember watching them on TV at my grandparents in England.   I don't remember much else, and keep getting them confiused with teh Banana Splits.

I guess this is a British thing.

I live in Iowa U.S.A. and I've never heard of them.
