Haed to believe , but one so sophisticated as myself has not yet been out of the USA... however I have lived all over ... there is a rather hidden vacation spot in southern Oklahoma.. called Turner Falls.... with fresh spring water falls... beautiful little ponds and hills and woods to explore.... perfect for camping

I went to Adelaide, South Australia 3 years ago.
I would move there if I had the $$.

My all time favorite vacation destination here in the U.S. that I've been to is The Black Hills of South Dakota.
I love it up there.
You can visit Deadwood and all those other Old West style towns.
They're my kind of places!

There's a provincial park, Killbear Point, about four hours northeast of where I live. It's a big park on Georgian Bay, about a half-hour from the nearest town, and tucked away back at the end of a long road. Great camping, hiking trails, long sandy beaches on clear water. Lots of pine forest on old granite hills, with plenty of wildlife (chipmunks, racoons, porcupines, deer, etc.) Lots of good memories too. My family went there when I was a kid, and I continued to go with my friends later on. Been there with my wife, and I plan to take my kids there.

So far, my only vacation outside Canada was in Chicago, which had lots to do, even in January.

I've been all over Canada. Of the cities, Ottawa has a lot to offer tourists. Lots of historic buildings, galleries, museums. And since a lot of the attractions are owned or subsidized by the federal government, they're cheap to visit. Toronto, on the other hand, is great to visit, but everything is commercialized and overpriced. Anything good there will cost you.

My Favorite place that I have ever been is when I was 18 myself and three of my friend backpacked through Europe.  We came across this small vilage in Switzerland that was at the base of the Alps.  The next morning we hiked up to a glacier in the mountains, the beauty of that place still takes my breath away when I look at the pictures.

We have set off on a 15 year plan to see many places around the world. We started with local areas first. I live in New Jersey currently. We began our trips about 4 years ago after we took care of more important things. Till then we just stayed around the major Eastern cities and states like New York, Philadelphia, Washington, and Baltimore.

The Philippines is were my wife is from and it is a beautiful country and people. Generally not a healthy or safe place for Westerners, but for the more adventurous there are many great place there.

We started in the state were I grew up. Upstate New York which is really a special place especially the Finger Lakes Region. You will also like the Adoriondack Mountains and Niagria Falls, but the Finger Lakes are really accessible to waterfalls, lakes, and streams.

Pennsylvania about the same time, but since we live close to it we have made day trips in previous years. Some of our favorite spots are Bushkill Falls, Gettysburg, Town of Jim Thorpe, and the general Lancaster area. We are planning an excursion into Northern Pennsylvania along Rt. 6 across the north part of the state then down the Western side upon returning where we hope to see relics of Christopher Columbus in the Boals family museum. They are decendence of the famous explorer and came from Spain many years ago, but we also will see some of the area called God's Country were I live for 4 years in Northern PA.

We lived in Florida for a year and loved St. Augustine, but haven't been to Key West yet.

Californiaalong Rt. 1 is one of the best drive in the world. If you want to vacaction somewhere try from L.A. to San Francisco especially along the famous 17 mile drive outside Monterrrey. Lots of sights, entertainment, and history. Alcatraz and the Spanish Missions were my favorites.

Arizona is one of my favorite states escpecially Souther Arizona has very nice scenery. Cactus and Western History. It depends one what you like. Don't forget the Grand Canyon and the Ancient Native American Indian sites that are around 1000 years old. My favorite is Sedona's red rock country. You can also take a look over the border into Mexico.

Utah is great. It's like the whole state is a National Park. Simply awesome. Check out Zion, Bryce, Grand Staircase Escalante, Canyonlands, Arches, and Monument Valley you will not be dissappointed. Their state parks are even like national parks.

Colorado Just came back recently, my favorite are Rocky Mountain National Park (the road is 12,000 ft. + high), Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park (you won't want to leave), and Colorado National Monument.

South Dakota The Black Hill/Badlands region of the state is very nice. You also have the shrine of democracy there called Mount Rushmore. Be sure to see Custer State Park.

Wyoming Amazing state from end to end. Not enough time to see it all. Western History, Mountains, Wildlife, and more. Yellowstone National Park is a must see. The Big Horn Mountains and the surrounding area's are incredible.

Hard to belive the Western states are part of this planet. To awesome to describe. There is so much to do in the U.S..

Europe, Middle East, and Asia also have many treasures to check out. If possible we will check them out one day.

No way to pick a favorite place. Like a B-Movie it depends on your mood.

The Burgomaster

My favorite vacation spot is Las Vegas.  No other place even comes close.  I was in Hawaii last month, which was a great vacation, but Las Vegas is still the champ.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Las Vegas is a good one Burgomaster no doubt. I like Las Vegas more for the central location to the other Southwestern states. If you want indoor and outdoor recreation Vegas is great.

Grand Junction, Colorado is an even better location as it is more central to all the National Parks for those who enjoy the outdoors. The tempetures are more moderate year round than Las Vegas and you can switch climates during the year for vacation or altitude for climate change for smaller day trips.

Another good area is New Hampshires White Montain region and Acadia National Park in Maine.

Hawaii sounds great. We have been wanting to go there. They have a very diverse population which interest us greatly. 15% from my wifes country the Philippines.

I've lived all over the world but my favorite vacations aren't "spots". I've always found the journey is far more memorable than the destination..which is why i usually take my trips by car (i don't travel overseas anymore). People scrunch their nose at me when i tell them but they don't understand while they're sitting on a plane eating peanuts with a fan blowing in their face i'm getting to see a piece of americana firsthand

Like a trip to Vegas will take me through several states where i can experience beautiful mountains, deserts, memories of reststops in the middle of a desert with signs that say "beware of rattlesnakes", meeting native americans, staying in really cheap motels with blinking christmas lights outside, visiting carlsebad caverns and that meteor crator in arizona, eating foods i've never had and once i get to vegas it's well worth it. Because i walk away with not only stories of vegas, but all the experiences i had (good and bad!) which happen on the road. Vegas btw is my favorite destination because it's never boring driving from dallas to nevada. I once drove to tennessee..now that was pretty boring ;-)

I like exploring the coast in the Pacific Northwest.  Its not very beach-y, but I'm not into suntanning so thats OK.  Just rugged coastlines, walking in the cool, and some gorgous scenery without many people.

My favorite vacation spot is only about 2 and a half hours from my home. It's Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio. We stay at the Breakers Hotel right on Lake Erie and right beside the park. Theres tons of stuff to do at Lake Erie other than spending the entire time at the park. One of my favorite is to take our Jet Ski and fly all over the swells on Lake Erie. It's even more fun when there has been a storm the day before. This is a great place to vacation.

Cheese is good food. So are the movies. Not food that is, just cheese.
