OKay so I was watching Freddy's revenge a few nights ago and the idea of the lead character being gay popped up.

I mean he screams like a girl, he went to a gay bar, he decided to stay with Grady instead of Lisa one night.  And who could forget the Dancing scene?1?!?!

Now After watching it I am more convinced that this movie is more about a guy trying to come to grips with his true identity.  It is about a guy who is confused about hiself and does not know who he really wants to be and what he wants to do.  Freddy is just a metaphor for Jesse's inner conflict.

Is Jesse really gay and trying to fight it?  Or maybe he is just confused.  Or maybe I'm reading too far into the movie.
Or maybe since Freddy was a child molester, who may have possibly molested guys, he was just acting out his feelings through Jesse.

So what do you guys think?

Well that was fun...in a f****in' sick, terrible, not at all fun kinda way.

Deep Red

It's been said for years that the whole point of the movie was Jesse coming to grips with his latent homosexuality.  And really, take out the dream demon, and that's what you have.  It also helps that both Mark Patton (Jesse) and the director are gay men.  Kinda gives a new meaning to Freddy's "I'm inside you" line.

Barring that though, it was still a sub-par movie, and it skewed most of what was set up in the first film.  At least it had the slick pool massacre and the "You are all my children now" line.
