Here is the scoop from joblo.com:

"Movie Hole is reporting that Lion's Gate is getting the ball rolling for the sequel to Eli Roth's flesh eating virus screamer, CABIN FEVER. Considering how fast the disease spread in the original, it's not going to be hard to find returning cast members. No stars have signed on but actor Robert Harris says he'll come back and reprise his role of Man Cadwell, the general store owner. It's unclear as to whether Roth will be involved with the film at all if only to make another appearance as the "big bag of weed guy". I know many a fan that loathe this movie but for me it was a fun romp in the garden of blood and boobs, scary enough to move my wife a little closer and stupid enough to shoot Coke out my nose. Roth has a bright future if he can turn away from the paycheck involved with this film. He made it big with the original, a homage to classics such as THE EVIL DEAD, but you don't want to make a career out of it. Adam Green is writing the follow up which hopes to hit theaters sometime next year."

I thought the original was decent, and hope this one will be a bit better.  I'm sure I'll be there opening day.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Hoping for a sequel to be better than the original - that's the definition of blind optimism.

Well, if they make it as bloody as the first one it shouldnt be too bad. The projectile vomiting blood and body parts were pretty good.

I liked Cabin Fever. I wasn't sure what I was going to expect, hearing a lot of bad stuff about it, but Peter Jackson (the man that saved us all from turning into ham burgers) said it was a really good film so I rented it. I enjoyed it.

Please God no!
The original sucked bad enough...do NOT make a sequel!!

If it's made I'll, uh, avoid it like the plague.
(pun intended)

The first was ok, the ending was what made it a nutty film, which I loved.

It was soo wacky!

Don't think a sequel would work really.  They'd probably just do the same thing over again, and that would just be stupid.  No need to rehash something that was so original and so different at the time, and detract from it with a carbon copy sequel.

But then again, it could be great.

I'm not really sure about this one.
