Good Time to Pick Up VHS's

Its a very good time to pick up those great B-Movies and other great and obscure movies cheap. I've been finding great quality VHS' for $2.00, $2.99, and $3.99. These are not the cheaply (EP) transferred ones you use to get. Some of them are the Studio produced tapes. I've been picking them up everywhere from Supermarkets (try all supermarkets), second rate department stores (like Big Lots or Boscov's). They are really starting to dump these VHS's and it's a good way to view some of those films you always wanted to see. Happy hunting ! ! !

I can't belive I've turned into a dvd snob, but after dvds, I just can't go back to tapes.  I suppose if something isn't on disk, ok, but there's so much out there that is and that I don't have.

Yeah, I'm with raj - it's not like people have been strong armed into getting DVDs it's really just a superior (in every aspect except price) format. I mean, I guess I might take some VHS if they were for free but only to burn them.

I have a VHS player and watch a lot of stupid movies so picking up cheap VHS tapes while everyone coverts over to DVDs is great

I have a lot of dvds but still have a lot of tapes. I still collect tapes, certainly wouldn't pass something good on vhs for a decent price or something that's not on dvd (and there still is a ton of stuff that isn't.) Just started to transfer stuff from vhs to dvd actually.

Yeah-- I've been basically switching over to DVDs and getting rid of my VHSs, but seeing my local Blockbuster putting out all their tapes out for sale is just too good to pass up. Besides, there's a lot of low-budget dreck that'll probably never be on DVD, and that's the kind of dreck I live for. :)
