A Vicious Travesty

I just bought "Vicious" on dvd.  Tom Savini stars in this um "movie" so I thought that his crew might have done the effects but I was wrong.  The creature on the cover looked awsome but they pulled a bait and switch.  This is some of the sorriest cg work I have ever seen.  It looks like a draft render from Bryce 1.  This does have the hidden benefit of being extremely laughable but I have one question.  Did the entire industry have a meeting to vote rubber suit guy off the island?  I mean the worst moster suit is still 10 times better than bad cgi.  Is it the cost of building a moster or what?  Anyone have any thoughts on this?
