ABOUT SCHMIDT (2002)- Good film starring Jack Nicholson in the lead role. It's about a retired guy who's life is mundane and unfullfilling. After his wife dies he drives to Denver in his new RV to stop his daughter from getting married and meets his new inlaws. He tells his story to a 6 year old orphan child in Tazania who he sponsored by mail. The situations in this film are brutally funny in what could have been a very depressing film.

I liked this one a lot, made me laugh and was still dramatic enough to tell its story. And proves Jack can "act his age" when he wants to.

While I wasn't grossed out like others who saw this before said I'd be (the scene was very brief) that's more of Kathy Bates than I ever want to see again. But the look of horror on Jack's face was worth it.

This was funny and still sad. The first scene where he is sitting in the office with his boxes all around waiting for the clock to strike five says it all. It should be a warning, don't let work become the only life you have.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Kathy Bates scene was a bit surprising. Has she had another role since that film? : )

Oh man that Kathy Batts scene was quite scary, but as Yaddo42 said, it was worth the look on Nichosen's face.

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!
