anyway my question is I recently bought blader ruuner on dvd. Ive never seen the movie before and i was reading back of the dvd case and its said "the uplifting finale has been removed". can someone tell what was the original ending. I justed wanted to know what was so different. thanks.

The original had Deckard and Rachel driving off into the sunset (or sunrise) with the voiceover to the effect that "Tyrell said Rachel was special--no termination date.  I didn't know how long we had together.  Does anybody?"  End of flick, blackness.  Scott apparently got rid of the voiceover and the sunset shot, although the VHS version I have is from the late 80s and HAS the sappy ending, and I never found it satisfying.  The film as a whole, however, is one of my all-time favorites.

Ah.  I love the Dir Cut of Blade Runner compared to the original sugar coated version.

It makes no apologies for it's ending.  Just over.  Black screen.  End of film.  Go home.

Fantastic.
