Klaus Kinski said he would do any movie for the right price, but I think there was more to it.  I think he was a bit of a masochist who enjoyed the humiliation of appearing in the most preposterous ones.  You can't make a movie about a stand off between a kidnapper and police where there is also  a black mamba snake loose.  It's simply not permitted.  Anyway,  here is said movie.  The unluckiest group of kidnappers ever run into unexpected trouble when the postal service throws a wrench into the works:  the prospective rich little kid victim has a mini zoo in his room and his latest  snake delivery gets mixed up with some museums shipment of the most dangerous snake there is on Earth:  the Black Mamba. and it's not Steve-o from jackass with a black sock on his hand.   How's your suspension of disbelief?  this would never ever happen.

So while they are trying to be criminals there is now a snake loose.  The first victim, who was kind of a weak link anyway, deserves an oscar for her dying of snake bite performance.  They are annoyed she's acting like it's such a big deal when it's obviously just a harmless pet snake.   So really, it's two movies, the standoff with the cops and the snake on the loose.   if you enjoyed Kinski's "Crawlspace" you will most likely enjoy this though it's longer and more conventional.  Apparently this was the last movie made with a real Black mamba as they are so dangerous it's not worth dealing with them for the sake of authenticity.  A few times it's a rubber one though.  :buggedout:

And if I remember correctly, Oliver Reed gets bitten on his crotch by the black mamba. Where would we see that same scene six years later?

The Burgomaster

Ah, yes.  Venom.  I didn't get a chance to see it during its theatrical run, but I bought the DVD a few years ago.  What an experience.  This would make a good (?) double feature with Ssssss.
