Yeah,
The Ring 2 is opening this Wednesday and to date I have only seen two reviews, one bad and one.... mediocre. Has anybody seen Ringu 2, it is the same director? I looked on IMDB and there was a sharp, drop off in the ratings between the two films. So, any word on how you think this will turn out.

Another lazy film studio hires a lazy screenwriter and gets together a bunch of lazy actors to cash in on something they did pretty well the first time...  No surprise it is getting panned, do you really think anyone had their heart in it?  Cast and crew who didn't work on the first one have no ownership of the concept and the ones who did are in familiar territory - it's a recipe for apathy either way.

I'm boycotting remakes and sequels right at the moment.  Not sure how that will apply to a sequel to a remake, but it probably means I'll avoid it even when it's on free TV.

I hope it flops huge.  Maybe if these prepackaged concepts start losing money, they'll start making more original movies.

I have a feeling it will skyrocket in the opening weekend, then as word of mouth spreads, it will dwindle.

I liked the original Ring, but still feel that Ringu was better.  Ringu 2 was decent but not as good as the original.  I'm hoping that Ring 2 doesn't do well, because I'm sure they'll want to remake Ring 0 as well which is by far the best in the series.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

I didn't think Ringu was better than Ring - I thought it was exactly the same movie only with subtitles and Japanese people... and the neat effect where she saw the girl reflected in the TV screen when she watched the video.  That was scary.
