FINALLY on DVD!

I'm pretty excited about some recent and upcoming DVD releases.

I just received (and watched) my copy of the newly released Sam Peckinpah film BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA.  Many critics hated this movies, others thought it was a masterpiece.  I like it a lot, but it does have a few scenes and some dialogue that will make you groan.  It takes a while, but plenty of people get shot up in the classic Peckinpah style.  This is probably Warren Oates' best performance.

I also recently pre-ordered THE HUNTING PARTY (a violent western with Gene Hackman and Oliver Reed), DIRTY MARY, CRAZY LARRY (Peter Fonda and Susan George in one of the very best car chase movies ever made), RACE WITH THE DEVIL (Peter Fonda and Warren Oates), TONY ROME and THE DETECTIVE (starring Frank Sinatra), and a few other gems.

Now, if someone would only release THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE, THE SEVEN UPS, and THE DOBERMAN GANG . . .

Race With The Devil! Good choice. Crappy movie but I like it anyway.
