HERCULES AGAINST THE MOONMEN (1964) - Good Hercules Italian action film starring Alan Steele a.k.a. Sergio Ciani. A queen sends here citizens to the mountain of Moonmen to be sacrificed for promised power from the Moonmen. Hercules faces off against the Moonmen which are giant gumby type monoliths that walk around lead by some guy in a mask. Besides the rather good sword fights from our hero, he also provides the viewer with amazing feats of strength.

Ah the Hercules movies from the 60s.  I remember the tacky sound effects from the first one where Hercules is involved in a discus throwing competition  Apparently whirling electronic soundeffects means the discus is going really really fast!

But Hercules and the Moonmen?  Sounds kinda nutty!

It's a fun little movie, if a bit dull in the second reel.  A fun little MST3K episode as well.  I picked up the movie itself for pittance at a used record store in Evanston during B-Fest 2003.
