Apparently Sunday marked the passing of Thurl Ravenscroft at the age of, what, 92 I think.  The voice of Tony, Kirby from The Brave Little Toaster, a host of other cartoons, and the crooner of  "You're a Mean One, Mr Grinch."  His was a most distinctive voice, sorely missed now.  Of prostate cancer.

*Sigh* I'm going to miss him, I remeber liking the Brave Litte Toaster when I was a kid and I just now learend he was in it.

He was great.

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

Bandit Keith from Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series (episode 12)

The Grinch wouldn't have been the same with someone else singing that song.

His voice helped make the "Haunted Mansion" ride fun too, he apparently provided voices for it and I think the Eddie Murphy film based on it. Haven't seen the film.

But I agree, it didn't feel like the holiday season if I didn't hear him croon the Grinch song at least once.
