Hey everyone,

I've googled every phrase combination I could imagine, and I can't find anything.  It's like this movie was so bad, everyone conspired to erase it from history.  Here's what I remember:

A spaceship of some kind lands near a house and an alien enters.  The family has a pool and a hot tub that are used extensively in the killing/maiming of everyone involved.  The alien collects heads of victims, and has the ability to make these heads talk, using them to lure other family members into danger.

At the end, the the last living person walks into the hot-tub room and everyone is alive again!  Or not, it's just their heads, and the alien is under the water, the final trick played out.

I probably have details wrong, but  that's the gist.  It really is a terrible B-movie that should be panned relentlessly, but I can't find it.  Ideas?

Andrew has reviewed this one as well.
A pretty bad, but amusing viewpoint on modern life circa the mid '80s, poking fun at people who watch too much television, status seeking, and peoples fears of nuclear war, with an underlying theme that no matter what we do, garbage never really goes away.

Wow, if this really is the movie, my memory of it seems to have warped in the 18 years since I saw it last.  Seems plausable, though.  The only real scene I remembered from the whole movie was the last scene in the hot tub.  I'll have to find a copy... Heh.  Thanks!

Unfortunately I'm not up there, but two hours away in the Quad Cities - thanks though!  There appear to be some Japanese import DVD's (if you don't mind Japanese subtitles) available on eBay, so I might just go grab a copy.
