Need Help on Outer Limits Episode..

This being the newer outer limits.
I remember a certain episode we're some sand was brought back from mars and in the sand are some martian scorpions,2 seperate races I believe,and in the course the person watching over them decides to starve them and the 2 races have a little war.Very cool stuff from what I remember.
I'm curious to know the name of the episode and if anyone knows if it will ever be or already is available for purchase.

few searches later and i'm 99% sure this is the episode titled "sand kings"

I believe it is "Sand King" which, if I remeber right, is on tape. Pretty cool episode.

That episode was based on the short story by George R. R. Martin called "Sandkings."  You can find it in one of  his short story collections of the same name.  I believe Mr. Martin also had a hand in making the episode (co-producer, I think), which was, by the way, the pilot episode for the new Outer Limits.  He's a good writer (Fevre Dream is the best Vampire Novel I have ever read).

I caught this one on Showtime several years back. It's a really good story with great parts. The scenes with the faces in the sand tank in the scientists lab are really memorable for me. Thanks for the post slaX I never remember the title to any of these episodes.
