Anyone else seen this? It sounds like a not too bad deal ($4 a disk with no shipping charge), only you don't get to pick the movies they send. They are supposedly picked personally by Shatner (he's been in enough cheese, he should know something about it).

Check it out : William Shatner DVD Club

I'd like to talk to someone who's actually signed up.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Well considering you get a 30 day trial, it may be worth a look at the very least.

Seems quite odd though...

I'm halfway considering it just for the pain.

Because I like my pain.

It makes me who I am...

This sounds interesting, but I'll pass. I'm not impressed with their 3 example films. And I'd feel totally burnt if I received a sci-fi original flick (like "Dragon Storm") in the mail when it airs repeatedly, for free, on the sci-fi channel at nauseum.

I just signed up for it, and my DVD should be here in the next 7-10 business days.

I love Shatner, so it can't hurt to give it a try for 30 days.  If the movie I get sucks, then I'll just cancel the subscription.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

He's got a film club, and he'll beat you over the head with it!
Actualy, this could be good, particulary if the Shat give an intro with each flick. That could be cool, as his sense of humor forgives many flaws.

"The Shat" ...I like that. :)

The Shat had a show on TV a few years back where he hosted bad movies (mostly "Full Moon" flicks). His Elvira-esque bits were awful, but very entertaining. If he's featured on his club DVD's then I'd front the money to join no problem.
