I need help!

i need help looking for a movie that was made by a really rich guy in the 70's or 80's. I dont remember if he was a oil tycoon but i remember he hearing he made this fantasy/cheezy epic about something. i also heard it was so bad the lead actor killed himself not too long after. i heard it on mystery science theatre 3000 but I never go the name of it. can anyone help?

The only thing I can think of that comes close to what you've mentioned is "Manos the Hands of Fate"

It certainly wasn't made by a rich oil tycoon but by a guy that sold manurer. Itt was on MST3K and one of the actors (not the lead mind you) killed himself shortly afterwards but I don't think it was because of how terrible it was.

Yup that was it. After I looked it up I recognized it right away, some dub it the worst movie ever made. So of course I want to get the dvd and see it. Have u seen it? Is it really that bad?

Yes it's quite terrible. Pretty mind numbing. Not THE worst but it's got a well earned rank among them. Glad I could help, I just wonder how you got Oil Tycoon out of "manure seller".

Cool, I'll have to check it out then. I dont know how I got oil tycoon, i think I just remember the maker was from texas, had money, and had a job that was far from being a director. so I guess oil tycoon just popped in my head. heck, I think that makes more sense then a guy who sells poop making a movie.

I don't this guy was from Texas either. Maybe it was Kansas, a Southern State it was, I'm sure on that part.
