I know Vermin will click on this --
Type in www.thisislondon.com or go to The Evening Standard paper for London nightlife:
The Bonzo Dog Band and The Rutles are doing a "one-off" show at the Astoria in London tomorrow night!
If I wasn't already doing Prelude to a Kiss in Longmont that night, I'd have my private jet shoosh me on over, doncha' know!!

I have no idea what this means.

Are you kidding???  I couldn't find this article in the link you sent.  My father-in-law would sell his first born to go see this.  We caught Neil Innes when he came over to Detroit for a show just last year... the man is a wonderful genius.

Vermin Boy

Yeah, I saw that in the latest issue of Mojo, and my jaw practically hit the floor. Damn my being on this side of the Atlantic!

I wrote to Phil Proctor & David Ossman of The Firesign Theatre about this, and they both made appropriate jokes re. sure!  We'll fly over right now to see it on your private jet, etc.
As my friend with local PBS affiliates says, "God, I hope they think in terms of a US tour --", even though it is billed as a "one-off" --
Yeah, I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Innes in '04, and got to visit the sites of the Holy Grail shoot (Castles Doune & Stalker) in '05.
Just the thought of it all sends shivers etc. -- No doubt, Apollo C. Vermouth, aka Paul McCartney was present there tonight, as the bill promised "speical guest fill-ins" for Viv Stanshall --
Ah, me --
