I originally saw this movie back in the mid-80's on HBO and thought it was hokey. I saw it again recently and found myself surprised on how "good" it is. For a low budget, 80's sci-fi movie, it's well done. The acting isn't too bad, the dialogue is fairly believable, and overall outcome is surprisingly WATCHABLE.

Too bad it's got a reputation (in certain circles) as being a "bad" movie.

I like 'Android' as well. Glad that it's available on DVD, because for years it wasn't. (Anchor Bay released it in late 2004.) I liked all the acting, especially by Norbert Weisser, who played Keller. At the time, I didn't even realise he was the German guy in 'Three Amigos'.

Oh, yes.  I saw this movie on Sci-Fi.  It was a total wish-fulfillment movie for scrawny nerds.  The wuss (the android) has the hot chick hitting on him, gets to beat up the bully, gets to take revenge on his overbearing "Dad", and ends up with an even hotter chick at the end.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

Just watched the trailer for Android (1982). Looks like a lot of fun. It's now on my list.
