God, why did some moron decide to ruin the Dukes Of Hazard with Jessica Simspon as Daisy? Yeaaaaauuurrrgggghhh--the HORROR!

I am a politically liberal type, but jeez leave George alone.  Its a 60-year old book a about a cute monkey's adventures (and one of my favorites).  What sort of childhood did these people have? Lets just kill the joy in everything in the name of a raised consciousness.  How tough is it to say "Now honey, remember you don't hunt animals any more."  Or some such thing.

My big worry is they are breeding a generation of big-game hunting, hedonsitic tax accountants and corprorate lawyers as soon as their poor oppressed kids get away from home and rebel against their overwrought and over-conscious parents.  Gordon Gecko rises again.

This just goes to show how screwed up the world has become, not everythng has to be a political statement. No wonder so many people have become weak minded sheep.

Sick. Really, if you want to, you can read anything you want into things these days. Doesn't mean it's true or that it was even the original intention. Why can't people just leave things alone?

Let's look at things from my childhood:

Casper the Friendly Ghost- He was white...all white. Obviously a racist cartoon.
Felix the Cat- There were some whacky drug induced things going on in that cartoon.
Woody Woodpecker- Oh sure, now we're making light of mental problems.

I could go on but I think you get the point.

Some people need to get a life and loosen up a little.

You can't forget the Bugs Bunny cartoons either.

Elmer Fudd - low IQ gun nut who blasted away at everything in sight with a shotgun without considering aim or consequences of missing the target

Yosemite Sam - low IQ gun nut who blasted away at everything in sight with a pair of pistols without considering aim or consequences of missing the target

Pepe Lephew - oversexed stereotype who just would not take 'no' for an answer

the two Mexican crows - lazy, partially iliterate stereotypes

Some people have WAAAAAY to much time on there hands.

On a related note, I'm still waiting to hear back from the publishing company about the proposed addition to the book series I wrote, Curious George Meets the Electric Fence.  It's been a few weeks, but I'm sure they'll get in touch with me soon.
