I'd venture a guess that the reason this movie wasn't released before is the star.  She strongly resembles the cartoon character on which this movie was based, but she's not all that pretty.  Most americans who watch this will be reminded of Popeye's sweety Olive oyl rather than say, Twiggy.

Despite some decent surrealist turns and even a little S and M I was not very impressed with the film. I would recomend it mainly to people who work or shop at vintage clothing stores as it could not possibly be more stylized and fashion conscious.  Some criticism of the film, actually one review I read, noticed the strange, off putting way blacks are depicted where they appear and I would concur with this.  It is not violent KKK type racism but it is disrespectful and unfunny.
