Gamera Films

[Ed, Ego and Superego]

Last night I had the pleasure of watching a surprise old Gamera film on a Public Access TV show, GAmera vs Guiron.  Its been a while siince I saw one and that was on an old MST3K tape I found.  
I had forgottem a lot about the movies, including the sort of B-team monsters in them.  Its like they made movies with the monsters who were stunt doubles and understudies for the monsters in the Toho films.   "Starring the Monster who was Rodan's stunt double"  
But it was great movie, I loved the Guiron vs Space Gyaos fight.

GAMERA VS. GUIRON is probably the best classic GAMERA movie I've seen.  It's non-stop entertainment!

And does so along the lines of "Hilarity ensues, that was not intended by the director." Hikeeba old Ginsu head!

I just have such a soft spot for the big chelonian.  
"Gamera, the Kaiju with heart".

Plus the newer stuff is really good action WITHOUT being too funny.
