I recently heard about this site on ABCNews.com when they did a piece on it.
I decided to check it out last night.

I spent over 2 1/2 hours on it.

I couldn't tell you why I did...maybe morbid fascination.

The majority of the deceased people on it died in automobile accidents.
All of the people there had Myspace pages like me & a few others here.

Heck, even Steve "The Croc Hunter" Erwin's page is on there.
(I had no idea that Steve loved late 70's/early 80's punk music!)

The site lets you visit each person's page.
Most are still up as memorial pages but some have been shut down...presumably by their families.
You can read the things they wrote...sometimes their blog entries were written the very day they died.

Also included are murder victims and sometimes, the murderers themselves who also had Myspace pages.
Some are suicides...some of the deaths are from natural causes such as complications from diabetes or hereditary diseases like cystic fibrosis.
Some others are people who suffered freak accidents like a guy who had a 1500 pound wall fall on him while working construction or a guy who fell out of a 12 story window while partying.

While looking around on it, I noticed that the great majority of victims lived in either California, Florida or Texas.
Three states that you could not pay me to live in.  (no offense to anyone here that lives in those states of course)
I guess that higher populations mean a greater chance of dying.
In any event, the site gives many details as to what exactly happened to the person.

I looked through most of the people's pages there.
I was absolutely fascinated.  I know that sounds bad, but I was.

Some people have expressed utter dislike for Mydeathspace.com and the site even has forums that you can visit.
They also have a hatemail section for people who object to it.

How about you?
Have you checked out Mydeathspace.com?

What are your thoughts on it?

Out of all the pages on that site, this was the one that disturbed me the most.
Be sure to read what happened.

The chilling 911 call can be heard here.

That is something I'm not gonna forget anytime soon.
