The Tell-Tale Heart (1960)

THE TELL-TALE HEART (1960) - Good version of Edgar Allen Poe's classic short story. Shot in b/w this film is well done with small examples of 1800's living (Supposedly in France). The film is effective and the acting above average. The parts with the romantically awkward main character see's the floor boards breathing where he buried his one time friend, then to pull his heart out and bury it in the backyard to keep it quite. If you have it on one of your cheap DVD sets pull it out for a good view.

I paid 2 bucks for this and Wes Craven's Chiller on a double-bill DVD.  The Tell-Tale Heart is definitely the more enjoyable of the two.

Onionhead, i bought the same double DVD for $1 at the grocery store. Your right about TELL-TALE HEART being the better of the two films.

Paid a buck at Wal-Mart for the same combo, they've got one of those island racks loaded with stuff from Digiview Entertainment again. They've got a lot of the Hercules films I think Scott and others have been posting lately. I may load up on the forgotten kid show anime they've got next time.
