John Ashley(b.Dec.25,1934-d.Oct.3,1997)starred in early rock n roll pictures,beach movies and sci-fi and horror films.He sang in HOW to MAKE a MONSTER,was in a personal favorite of mine FRANKENSTIEN'S DAUGHTER,appeared with Karloff in BIKINI BEACH,starred in Larry Buchanan"s the EYE CREATURES,was in all three BLOOD ISLAND movies,and appeared in many of Eddie Garcia"s Filapino horror exploitation features with such B-movie greats as Pam Greir(TWILIGHT PEOPLE) and Sid Haig(WOMAN HUNT).And not only did he co-produce BEAST of the YELLOW NIGHT,but believe it or not,was associate producer on APOCOLYPSE NOW(!). He was also the producer of the A-TEAM TV show and the syndicated WEREWOLF TV show,among other accomplishments.He would have been 72.
