has anyone ever seen 'From Hell It Came'?  I think it was in the early fifties, about a tree that came to life and threw women in a swamp.  Quality!

Ah, the sheer terror of a killer tree stump.  I haven't seen this in forever and never watched the entire movie anyway.  Would like to see the whole thing, though I believe doing so would require no small amount of Jack Daniels.  Ken has a review of it here:

This is another movie that NEEDS a good DVD release.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Ah the joys of Saturday afternoon matinees. I haven't thought about this piece of cinematic artistry in years and yet here I read one review and find myself acting out a scene from the movie for my wife, and laughing hysterically while doing so. Shadowfyre you are right, this masterpiece NEEDS to be out on DVD, so that we can all share in its silliness.  Thumbup Thumbup
