Wasn't there a review for War of the Robots?  I got it with Bad Taste in a 50 movie pack.  I could swear I saw the review on this site.

I mean to get to this one, but have not reviewed it yet (nor is there a reader review).  It has come up several times on the forum.

Doing a search for "War of the Robots" (including the quotes) will turn up a number of other small posts.

At least I know I am not seeing things.

Ah, good old B-Movie Central.  I cannot read it, so as not to influence the review I want to write, but Duane always puts out fun articles.

I hear alot of talk about bad movie bulk paks on here, like your 50 pack. Where do you find these? how much do they put you back?

They're available from many sources, but the cheapest I've seen them are some of the 'used' collections on Amazon:

I just got my latest collection, The Drive-In Movie Classics, in the mail yesterday.

There are many smaller collection with themes like 'Blood Sucking Mummies' and 'Undead Werewolf Aliens'  that run a bit cheaper but they're mainly made up of stuff from the 50 Movie Packs.

The only one of these I've bought is the '20 Cult Movies' pack, which is worth it's weight in gold!

That is a great collection!  How did I miss it?  I am going to put that on my wish list (one way I track DVDs I want).

How is the quality?

Raffine, some of those titles sound a bit naughty. Like SEX MADNESS and SLAVES IN BONDAGE. Are those pornz? The other ones sound pretty good though, thanxs!

Not too bad, for the most part. About the only one with picture and sound quality much worse than you'd expect even in a collection like this is THE TERROR OF TINY TOWN, and it's sorta watchable. The print of SEX MADNESS seems to be missing some of the grodiest and disgusting footage of V.D. riddled sluts and losers (the film jumps around like its been cut when the doctor take the heroine on a tour of the local V.D. hospital, but you do get a look at some feet missing some toes), but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

They sound like those 1940s-50s after-school-special kind films. You know the type!

They sound a lot naughtier than they are. Most of these are "educational" films from the 30's and 40's. Exploitation producers would get around censorship by making their films "educational".  The idea was you could have your characters in your movies running around taking dope and skinny dipping if you were educating the public on the dangerous of that life. For example SEX MADNESS is about an innocent young farm girl who comes to the big city and gets a job in a girlie show. She "makes one mistake" and winds up with the clap. She thinks she's cured so she marries her farm-boy sweetheart. Naturally she gives HIM the clap, so he goes blind and their baby is born  sickly and hideously deformed!  If only she hadn't given everybody the clap!!!  :hatred:

About as explicit as they get is a quick glimpse at some droopy breasts once in a while.

Think REEFER MADNESS. Change pot for coke, sex, prostitution, teenage pregnancy, alchoholism and murdering Siamise Twins and cowboy midgets occasionaly. The great(?) Dwain (MANIAC) Esper and Kroger (MOM and DAD) Bab had a hand in lots of this stuff. Sounds like a farout set...!!!!
