ISLAND OF THE LOST (1967) - This was a real stinker. It was like Flipper meets Danger Island only not as "cool". Some people are on an expedition in the South Pacific and find an uncharted island and go ashore. If you need rest then this film will put you a sleep. The only part that I became concerned about was when the sunny typhoon hit the island and they must have been using some kind of wind machine. Honestly it didn't look safe and those poor actors had to run through it. They could have been injured. Well...back to the movie. It seems that the island has dangerous animals like dogs with fangs and mutated oustrages. I can't even remember if they got off the island and I had to go back a couple chapters after falling asleep to catch the end which I did.

(2 out of 10 Stars)   Just wanted to warn anyone who had the idea of picking up this DVD Movie Premiere product I found at Fye. I might even throw it away. It rates up there with THE WILD WOMEN OF WONGO (1958).

This cant be as bad as "Wild Women of Wongo"?!

Oh, I saw this one......two stars might be generous!  It's been years since I've had to endure it, but it was a real stinker.  Not even funny bad, just bad.

Yes, but it starred Richard Greene. After all the television Robin Hoods over the years, you have to be as old as I am, to remember he was one of the first, and one of the best, in "The Adventures of Robin Hood."

I saw this film on another old television program, "We're Off to See the Wizard," which aired alot of old children's films. I can remember . . .

"Zebra in the Kitchen" w/ Jay North, Martin Milner, and Andy Devine.

"Who's Afraid of Mother Goose" w/ the Three Stooges.

"Gypsy Colt" w/ Donna Corcoran, Ward Bond, and Lee Van Cleef.

"Captain Sinbad" w/ Guy Williams, Pedro Armendariz, and Henry Brandon.

But, they had a strange idea of what was a children's films, because they also aired failed television pilots like . . .

"Hellcats" w/ Barbara Eden and George Hamilton.

"Alexander the Great" w/ William Shatner and Adam West.

I wish the program, "We're Off to See the Wizard" had lasted more then one season, because some of the stuff I saw on there, I've never seen before or since.

Yes, it does pay to be old.

But -- but -- ostriches with horns glued on their beaks!  That fact alone should guarantee this movie some kind of immortality.

Yea, those horned ostriches were the bad of the bad. The film also had those fanged dogs maybe it was really a remake of THE KILLER SHREWS . This was a bad movie :bluesad:. It hurt bad and I just don't won't to talk about it anymore! It's been hard to sit down to any film since. Maybe this week I'll attempt to watch something again.
