I wrote this quite a long time ago now, but I just realised I don't think I've shared it with you guys before, and it'd be right up your street. I'm after more of an audience for my humble little site, too!

So here it is...

Not only is it the scariest moments from bad movies, good movies and TV, but it also features some video games, too!

Knock...Knock...Knock....

That element of THE FOG was the single scariest thing about it when I first saw this as a 10 year old.  What a delightful conceit...vengeful yet courteous ghosts! ;)

It even evolved into Carpenter's minimalist score as the film progressed, so that by the final assault, the incessant and merciless 'rapping' in the music literally trapped the viewer.

The whole film benefits from a less-is-more kind of atmosphere, a point underscored by the awful remake which extrapolated every subtle aspect of the original and created a bloated mess no different from the sausage-mill 'horror' films they churn out endlessly now.

That's my driver's license picture....I hate that picture!"

Them ghosts were anything but courteous.  Eyeball poppers of poor fisherman are not courteous.  Saw THE FOG new in the theatre and was disappointed that its potential was unfulfilled.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Thanks for mentioning Eternal Darkness.  Its one of the greatest games ever.  Its so bad that it didn't get the attention it deserved.  Its the best Lovecraft-esque game ever.

At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...
