I'm one a' yous... Post only those things that stun, amaze, enthrall, imspire or encourage you.  Only the greatest anything.

I'm stunned to find DISNEY's masterpiece easily available on Youtube: "Woodland Cafe" (1937) It's his greatest moment:

"Take it easy now... It's truly wonderful...!!"   I defy you to give it 1 minute and if you're not hooked and watch the whole seven and a half, you are not human.  The centerpiece retelling of the spider and fly is touching.  This cartoon is bizarre, downright psychedelic (check out the very end) and jazz swingin', easily construed racist, yet, apparently in homage to black artists, how wonderful, and strange, this cartoon is after 72 years.  Nor did I mention "hand drawn".

If God exists, why did he make me an atheist? Thats His first mistake.

I never expected to be able to tolerate GROUNDHOG DAY thinking it'd be just another of those dumb movies Hollywood is always churning out.  Like maybe too many people, I fell in love with this movie, and it's been a favorite of mine for a long while now.

Lugosi addressing Reinfield in DRACULA (1931).
Watch Bela play Dracula in ABBOT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. Totally different performance. He talks like...like he's not accustomed to communicating with humans. He speaks in non-squeters.(Did I spell that right?). Even a line like "I am taking only three boxes." sounds deadly sinister. Genuis. Beautiful. And all his movements are like a ballet. Great. Just Great.

The only time a film has had me on the edge of my seat, actually sweating at the tension.

Good choice, CircusBela, you know I watched that whole part - the best part of that movie.  One thing that I always remark on is the quick pace of DRACULA

If you watch any of THE SELFISH GIANT Part 1, you might want to watch the rest:

Though I am constantly praising  Lugosi- This is not disparaging Karloff as the Monster. He brings a pathos to the role that I don't think Bela would have acheived,,,

Karloff was a GREAT actor....
