I finally got around to watching from Dusk till Dawn last night.
I was pleasantly suprised.  I can honestly say I was entertained for pretty much the entire movie.  Sometimes it is fun to watch a movie that isn't so full of itself and has very little redeeming value.  It is kind of like eating cotton candy.  No nutritional value, just pure taste!

Shadow

I remember acquiring the DVD and sitting down to watch it with the wife, who had never seen it before and knew nothing about it. For the first half of the film she kept wondering why I was watching it. As soon as the vampires revealed themselves she said, "Oh, now I see why you bought this one."

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

From Dusk till Dawn is truly a good movie. Very inventive and original. Those vampires were very good and scary enought too.

I had the opposite reaction as Shadow.  I knew of the film before picking it up, but it was my wife's recommendation that actually got me to buy it.  I picked up the double disc with the documentary included, but I had a hard time getting into it the first time around.  About 45 minutes in, when the vampires start attacking, I was having a blast.  I've enjoyed it much much more on subsequent viewings.  It's a hell of a fun flick.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

I thought this one was fun too.  I liked the opening, but then I like Tarantino and how he relies on dialogue to tell the story.  But after they hit the bar and things started to happen, it was even more interesting.  I will watch this one whenever I find it on, it doesn't get old quickly.

I got to see From Dusk Till Dawn in back when it originally came out in theaters.

I was very pleased with it.  Great splatter effects, Salma Hayek in a black bikini & a snake dancing, terrific dialogue, across the board solid performances.

Plus how can you not love a flick that's got both Fred Williamson, Danny Trejo and Tom Savini in front/center rolls?   :teddyr:

Stay away from the 2 sequels though.  :hatred:

I was totally blown away the first time I saw this movie.
George Clooney was so cool and such a badass as Seth Gecko.

I recommend the first film but stay away from the other two movies.
They were complete crud.

Ah, yes, a very fun movie.  I've seen it once, though it's been a while.  I'll have to queue it up and give a look.
