I saw the DVD advertised as the 'first Finnish kung fu movie' and 'a mix between Chinese martial arts cinema and the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala'.

Any thoughts?

I've seen the trailer and it looks way cool.  I haven't seen the movie yet, but it's on my wish list.

I've seen this movie, and I have to say that it was GRRRRRRRRREAT! Ok, I may be a little biased because I am finnish, but I liked it a lot, it was very original, had great acting and dialogue and great fight choreography. Only problem was that it had too few fight scenes, but that can be forgiven, because they were so good  I was very happy with Jadesoturi, normally every finnish movie is either a stupid, unimaginative "boo-hoo" drama movie or a stupid, unimaginative wannabe comedy, this was something completely different, something bold and new, somebody actually dared to be creative with this, and by golly, he did a good job
