A young girl begins to suspect her older sister's domineering boyfriend of being less than kosher, and, as it turns out, she couldnt be more right. The boyfriend, a german photographer whose grandfather was a nazi soldier, has a nasty habit of picking up random bar skanks and making a mess of their insides (his other hobbies include working out, getting his fortune told, and listening to Hitler's speeches). As the girl gets closer to the truth, the killer targets her friend, and she is forced to take matters into her own hands before she is next.

I hadnt been aware of any hype when this movie was recommended by a friend (who had been taken in by the hype and was excited to see it). True, there is some pretty gruesome murder scenes, and that's pretty much all it has going for it. The acting and film quality (as well as the setting and the hotter than hot look of the female victims) suggest skinemax porn that someone decided to add blood and guts to. The rape aspect and bare boobs aplenty may put off female viewers, though less offended women may be compensated with several shots of the hunky killer bare chested. The story is your basic "young kid suspects suspicious person of murder, but nobody believes them until it's too late" deal, and the frequent trips into the killer's damaged psyche are too hazy to ever provide any satisfactory explanation for his crimes. Not unwatchable, but there are usually better alternatives out there.

The R rated version is severely cut. Try to track down the unrated version if you can on Ebay if you're wanting to buy the movie.

I didn't care for it though.

I saw this the other night.  I'll admit that the audio on my DVD was somewhat messed up, but even without that there seemed to be gaping plotholes and no clear explanation of WHY he was killing all those women, nor how he escaped at the end . . .  or how he didn't get caught earlier, for that matter.
