Offerings (1989)

I'm planning to watch this on the weekend. I thought I'd ask if anybody is familiar with this movie and wouldn't mind posting a few comments? The trailer looks promising:

Wow.  I vaguely remember this one.
As I recall, it was good for a mindless 80's slasher flick, but nothing spectacular

I own a copy of this movie, but can't remember if I watched it or not.  If I'm recalling the correct movie, there's a surprising bit with a pizza that's never alluded to later.  Considering what was on the pizza, sort of surprising.

Let me know if I'm thinking of the right movie.

Yup, that is the movie alright. I watched this yesterday and it was like watching a remake of Halloween. They copied about everything from the John Carpenter classic in their own low budget cheesy way. Needless to say I had a blast watching. I especially liked silent John's Mom in the opening. She was just great!
