Killer Tongue/Lengua asesina

This is actually a Spanish production, although the cast is mainly American. The basic situation Johnny and Candy (Melinda Clarke) pull off a heist, and leave the two other gang members glued to eachother in the desert. Johnny goes to prison and Candy takes shelter in a convent as a nun. When Johnny is about to get out, Candy waits for him in their old haunt, while the other two are on her tail, to get the money.

At that point a meteorite strikes, and a piece falls in the soup of Candy. The results are startling: Candy becomes a rubber skinned monster with spikes on her back (I'm still wondering whether it was a latex suit or body paint) and her four poodles are transformed into drag queens. Most problematical is that Candy is possessed by a hungry alien in the form of a 20 ft long prehensile tongue.

From then on the story gets a bit complicated, but it involves Johnny, the other inmates, a prison warden, the sadistic prison chief (Robert Englund!), a psychic nun, the rest of the nuns and the other two gangsters. Candy eventually forms an intimate relationship with the tongue (yes, that is EXACTLY what I mean).

The body count is fairly high. At the end the movie, most of the above have either been eaten by the tongue, or have exploded on contact with the meteorite.

All in all, a most enjoyable film. Check it out if you have the chance!

(*) I have no idea where you can get this Japanese horror sleaze and I've only seen the trailer, but it looks hilarious.
