Yes,  the guitarist from Queen recently finished the astrophysics Phd he was working on when he met Freddie Mercury. He was named Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University.

I think this is rather cool.

That is cool, I've been lucky enough to meet him a few times over the years as a good friend of ours is friends with him. He seems to be a down to earth guy, haven't seen him is a few years now.
