Old School Cartoons reshaped in you own image

I was watching C.O.P.S. on dvd.  That's cartoon C.O.P.S. with the cybernetic dog, not the show which many have coined the word "wifebeater". (karma for the first person who know what that word mean)  And, in my geeky mind, I was thinking if it were to be brought back, it be brought back in comic book form again and picked up by either Marvel's Max line, or D.C.'s Vertigo line, to give it a more "real", adult look and dealing with real issues.  Longarm's the new chief of the team, while the old chief is the new commissioner or mayor; a cop switches sides; a corrupt cop, police brutality, a narcotics unit, stuff like that.  I know most of the cartoon back in the days were good enough to reminisce, but what would you want to change if you had the rights to a 70's, 80's, or even a 90's  cartoon.

First off, great idea Angel, I loved C.O.P.S. (karma for you if you can tell me what name the show was re-released as a few years later) and I'd definitely buy what you're proposing. Second, I also enjoyed the "updated" Masters of the Universe series that Cartoon Network put out a few years ago. And lastly, are you talking "wifebeater" in regards to a white "muscle shirt", or something else?

Karma for you, bro and I'll accept that (tank top is also acceptable).  As for you, it was re-released as Cyber C.O.P.S. when it was on Saturdays (never liked the renaming).

Oh HELL NO!!!!!!!  What Power Ranger bulls**t is that?  I mean the CARTOON "It crime fighting time" C.O.P.S.  The reason they called it "Cyber" C.O.P.S., is to not confuse it with the real show COPS.

I remember that...at least a couple of the bad guys: Nightshade, Mr Bad Vibes, Mister Meaner (I think), etc.  I remember watching this in the early 90s before school during my senior year I think...somewhere around there.
