Potato king, you surely can't be as twisted as Robert Rodriguez, who cast one of his kids as the one that kicks the buckett in that scene.

Karma for the trivia. So does he beat Steven Tyler (who cast his own daughter as a stripper in a music video...no nudity, but still) on the twisted meter?
"Do you have something against droppings?" "Well, no, I..." "Sure, everyone says that till they step in it."

I don't think that they can still top Dario Argento who has filmed his own daughter Asia Argento nude, in a variety of sexual situations along with being raped a few times in a couple of his movies.

I finally got around to seeing this.  Actually, it was playing at a bar I visited last night.  It was fun after a few shots of Bacardi 151.

However, I wanted to like it more than I actually did.  Some parts of it were just too stupid, even for the kind of movie it was.  I didn't care much for El Wray, or his constant bickering with the sheriff over having a gun.  There are f**king ZOMBIES everywhere and Wray is a good shot!  Give him a damn gun already!!!  And the gun leg thing was just ... I can see how Robert Rodriguez would think it was going to be the coolest thing ever but it just didn't work.  The zombies should have had more to do.  Quentin Tarantino's cameo was kind of annoying.

The casting was pretty good, except that the Bruce Willis part was just crying out for Brad Dourif.  Rose McGowan was actually very good in this.  I enjoyed the look of the picture.

I have no inclination to ever watch it again.

I'm still waiting for them to release The entire movie (Plannet Terror and Death Proof)  one one disc, and with all the trailers still intact, not just Mechete.

Saw them both, and tended to prefer Death Proof for the reasons already given. And I thought Kurt Russell gave a nice performance as Stuntman Mike. Interesting character.

For me, the most memorable thing about Planet Terror was Naveen Andrews as the scientist/arms dealer who carries his vitims' nuts around in a jar, particularly since he turns out to be a good guy.

What surprised me was when I saw in the credits that Jeff Fahey was JT. I went back and took another look, and still barely recognized him. Amazing what grey hair and a scruffy beard can do. Granted, I don't recall seeing him in anything in years, although the IMDB indicates he's been busy.
