I saw that this morning, RIP Sydney and thanks for Jeremiah Johnson, Three Days of the Condor, The Yakuza and other.

I always liked him as an actor.  His directorial efforts are probably great but I really haven't seen any...mostly because they're straight dramas.  RIP.
He learned almost too late that man is a feeling creature... and because of it, the greatest in the universe........

I agree, I enjoyed seeing SYDNEY on the screen.  Y'never saw TOOTSIE?   Aside from his wonderful uncredited appearance, he directed that one, too.  :teddyr:
