It's as bad as Plan Nine and just as much fun! Thank you for this. +1 Karma

Neato!

Supposedly, actual clips of Vampira's show are as rare as Ymir's teeth so this is a real treat.

As most of you know Maila Nurmi (aka Vampira) passed away several months ago at the  age of 85.

R.I.P., Vampira.
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

One of my earliest TV scare memories was of the opening of the old Chiller Theater from New York...Vampira stalking towards the camera in a clip from PLAN 9.One of the very first horror film hosts....(even before Zacherle!) and obviously (along with Carol Borland from MARK of the VAMPIRE) the inspration for Lily Munster, Mrs.Addams, and Elvira,to name a few. A true classic!!!
Mailia trivia-Vampiria also played the shriveled old hag witch in Bert I. Gordons the SWORD and the DRAGON! (Aka SAINT GEORGE and the 7 CURSES)
Karma to you,Conan!
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

Wow... talk about an hourglass figure... it's kind of disturbing though.  She must have had on a hella tight corset or something!
