That's not only the title but what it is to the slasher genre.  I see an R rating and the synopsis shows an obvious Friday the 13th ripoff I think "YAY!  Gore and nudity!"  Wrong.  This is a PG-13 movie at best.  There is not enough blood to fill one of those blood packs the hospitals use.  The relationships between the main character and a different character is completely unrealistic, I just met you these are my innermost feelings.  Plus the biggest plothole ever,  Spoiler! that person tried to kill someone, someone else is the killer.  End Spoiler.  All in all, skull rating, one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
Barbeque sauce tastes good on EVERYTHING, even salad.

Yes, salad.

I guess you were expecting too much; in some ways I was too, but I really enjoyed this movie. It is a throwback to the 80s slasher cycle where a lot of recent takes on the slasher film that claimed to do such just didn't.

There is a lack of gore and nudity, but there is something called a plot in this one. It's basically a slasher film wrapped in a whodunnit.

There is a sequel to it that ups the gore and follows some of the same whodunnit angle, but the sequel didn't work as well for me.

Mofo Rising

Bloody Murder was bloody awful. (With incisive movie commentary like that I expect the local newspaper will come knocking at my door to let me review movies for them any day now.)

This movie was part of a brief period of time, circa 2002-2003, where I was trying to watch every horror movie the local Blockbuster had on their shelf. I made it halfway through the C's if I recall.

Bloody Murder looked like a slasher rip-off by its box art alone, and despite every pressure to the contrary, managed to stay true to that uninspired creed. I like low to no budget films, but this was a movie that aped every previous movie and managed to have nothing new to add at all. It's like a murder novel that seems to throw out red herrings, and you'd like to think it's clever, but then it turns out the red herrings were the plot. No surprise, nothing gained.

It's a bad movie, made for cheap. Apparently they made enough money to make a sequel? I pray for those who liked this movie enough to want to see a second. Just watch every slasher film made in the '80s and '90s. Even the crappy ones are better than this.

Just a bad, uninspired film. I can't recommend it to anybody.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

You guys just reminded me of this film, I actually sat through 1 & 2 but they bored the pants off me! I don't see the point in making these films or anyone watching them when you can just go an watch any Friday 13th movie??

Because they're slasher films.

If someone's looking for something original with a good plot, they're looking in the wrong place with slasher movies.

Perhaps the main problem with this film is that, though it is a slasher clone, it is not Friday the 13th; and that is what a lot of people probably expected.

I'm guessing none of you in this thread have ever played the game Bloody Murder?
