jason voorhees' mask

i gotta say, i was a little bit disappointed to see that they didn't try to go with a different mask style for this new friday the 13th remake/relaunch/whatever.

i mean, sure, it's safer for them to stay with the classic mask, because some older fans would just explode if they used a different one even if it looked cool. however, i think it's time to expand the imagery of the franchise. don't you think some other styles of masks might have looked cool?



i dug how the mask looked in X, for example. it looked more sculpted.

I like the one on the left, perhaps woulda' looked good if parts of Jason's face was oozing out of the holes...

They wouldn't dare change it though, not again. It's like if they changed Michael Myers mask, there would be a public outcry and rightly so.
