Where to start on this one?  It's part comedy, part horror, part vampire film, part western, with cool claymation bat effects.  It's got Bruce Campbell.  It's got David Carradine.  What more could a B-movie fan desire?

Quick synopsis.

Purgatory is a  small out-of-the-way town in the West where vampires have congregated under the leadership of Count Mordulac to abandon their evil hunting ways and live on synthetic blood, while using SPF100 sunscreen to move about in daylight.
but their synthetic blood factory is acting up, so they have contracted the designer of the machine, David Harrison, to come to town and fix it.  He brings along his wife and daughter.  However, the vampire in charge of the factory, Shane, is his wife's ex-flame and still a very jealous jerk.

Meanwhile, a 400 year old vampire named Jefferson is plotting a rebellion against Mordulac and recruiting a small army of younger vampires to wipe out the colony of "bottlesuckers" and lead them back to their old predatory ways.  Since the older vampires are far stronger than they are, he has equipped them with guns that fire wooden bullets.

The movie is a ton of fun, with great fang effects, some decent gore here and there, and many comic moments.  There is no nudity other than a quick shot of Shane's full monty, and a little bit of language here and there.  The ending is surprisingly touching, too.  All in all, this was a really enjoyable B-movie that I highly recommend.
